Job Description:
Cooking work in the kitchen at Roken Mind, a care facility in Fujieda, preparing around 160 meals per service. Duties are preparation, cooking and plating, serving and collecting meals, washing dishes and cookware, cleaning and hygiene management. The role is mostly standing work, so it suits people who like being on their feet, and teamwork between staff is a priority. Four shift patterns are available from an early 04:30 start through to a 20:00 finish, working five days a week on a shift system. Rosters run from the 16th to the 15th and you can request two specific days off within each month. Holders of a cook's licence receive a separate qualification allowance of 5,000 yen, with further allowances for dietitian, hygiene manager, leader and chief roles. Career training supports moving from dietitian to registered dietitian, cook to head cook, or on to full-time employment. Commuting allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) is paid in full for distances over 2km, free parking is available and a full uniform (制服 seifuku) is loaned.

Rate varies with experience and skill. Salary increase available. Qualification allowances paid separately: registered dietitian 30,000円, dietitian and cook 5,000円, specialist catering cook 10,000円, hygiene manager 5,000円, leader 4,000円, chief 15,000円 to 30,000円 and second chief 10,000円. New year allowance of up to 4,000円 per day.
