Job Description:

This is a specialty food sales role at Yokohama Sogo department store, directly connected to Yokohama Station in Nishi Ward, placed through staffing company Dimple. You will handle counter sales and cashier duties for a premium artisan food brand whose products include handcrafted jams, dressings, condiments, drinks, and sweets — each made in small batches with careful attention to the ripeness, texture, and colour of individual ingredients. Products are presented in stylish glass jars and are popular as high-end gifts, so gift-wrapping skills are a bonus in this role. Weekends and public holidays are included in the shift schedule — applicants who can work weekends are especially welcomed. Prior sales experience of any kind is required; food retail experience is not essential. High school graduate or above is required. A white shirt, black trousers, and black shoes are needed for work; an apron is provided by the store. A Daimaru Matsuzakaya department store 10% shopping discount is provided as a staff benefit.
