Job Description:
This is a short-term hall staff and Japanese room cleaning role at a tourist hotel in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, catering to school trip and sightseeing guests, placed through Hands Collection NPO. Three position options are available: morning hall staff serving and clearing breakfast (06:00-10:00), Japanese room tidying and cleaning (09:00-13:00), and evening hall staff for dinner service (17:00-22:00) — all 4-hour shifts with no overtime. Duties for hall positions include setting up meal tables and clearing after service; the Japanese room position covers tidying tatami rooms and cleaning after guest checkout. Senior female staff with 1-2 years of experience will guide you through all tasks from day one, so complete beginners are very welcome. Pay is cash in hand (現金手渡し tewatashi) — monthly pay cycle, paid on the 1st of the following month. This is a fixed-term position running from 1 November to 26 December 2026, with the option to extend into January and beyond if both parties agree. A minimum of 8 shifts per month is required to qualify for the higher morning rate of 1,250円. Nails and decorative accessories are restricted as this is a food service role; hair colour is free. Morning hall staff (06:00-10:00): 1,250円 for those completing 8 or more shifts per month (1,200円 for 7 or fewer). Pay is cash in hand (現金手渡し tewatashi), paid on the 1st of the following month.
