Job Description:
Join the first opening team at Hotel Shuro Kyoto Shijo Karasuma, a new upscale hotel opening in November 2026, just 1 minute from Shijo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line in Shimogyo ward, Kyoto. Two roles are available to choose from: front desk or room cleaning — pick the one that suits you. Front desk duties include check-in and check-out, reservation confirmation, payment handling, and answering guest questions about the hotel and local sightseeing. Daily Japanese is required; JLPT N1 holders or equivalent are welcome. Cleaning duties include room cleaning (floors, bathrooms, bins), bed making (ベッドメイキング beddo-meikingu), changing linens and amenities, and checking room supplies — a quiet, focused role finishing by 15:00. Since everyone starts together as opening staff, no prior hotel experience is needed — experienced hotel cleaning or management staff may start at 1,400 yen/hour. Front desk shifts span three patterns: day (09:00-16:00), evening (16:00-23:00), and overnight (23:00-08:00). Cleaning runs 10:00-15:00. From just 1 day a week, with weekday-only and weekend-only schedules both available.
Wage:
1,200円 (per hour)
Experienced hotel cleaning/management staff may start at 1,400 yen/hour. Overnight front desk shift from 23:00: deep-night rate applies (approx. 1,500 yen/hour from 22:00 per the income example). Salary increase (昇給 shoukyuu) available.
