Job Description:
Work as cafe staff at Yojiya Cafe, the famous Kyoto cosmetics brand's cafe in the Shijo Kawaramachi area of Shimogyo ward, a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station. Duties include guiding customers to seats, taking orders, serving food and drinks, cashier duties (レジ reji), and light cooking assistance — plus, once you are settled in, selling Yojiya's popular in-store goods such as blotting paper, hand cream, and soap. The cafe draws many tourists including international visitors, so those with English, Chinese, or Korean language skills are welcome to use them — though high-level hospitality skills are not required. Shifts run on a 2-pattern system (09:30-18:30 or 13:30-22:30) across 5 days a week including weekends and public holidays, with 2 days off per week. Night shifts from 22:00 earn 1,750 yen/hour (深夜手当 shinya-teate). This is a staffing agency to direct hire (紹介予定派遣 shoukai-yotei-haken) placement: after approximately 6 months of派遣 派遣 placement, by mutual agreement you can move to direct employment at a monthly salary of 250,000-280,000 yen. Hair colour and nail art are freely permitted.
