Job Description:

This is a kitchen support role at Kawaguchi Municipal Shibaminami Nursery School canteen, starting from 1 November, preparing and serving meals for nursery children under the supervision of senior cooking staff. Tasks include ingredient washing and cutting, plating and serving meals, washing crockery and cooking utensils, cleaning and sanitising the kitchen, and supporting special event and seasonal menu preparation. Shifts run within the 08:00-16:00 window for 4 hours per day on weekdays only; Sundays and public holidays are fixed rest days and schedules can be adjusted to fit school events, childcare needs, or personal commitments. No experience is required — the majority of current staff started without a food service background and are trained by senior colleagues from scratch. The role offers a stable working environment suited to longer-term employment, with the potential to build practical experience toward a cookery qualification (調理師免許 choushi-menkyo). Contract is 6 months with renewal in principle, and can extend to age 65 under the indefinite-term conversion system.

Wage:

1,141円 (per hour) Trial period (14 days): same rate. Year-end and New Year working bonus (年末年始ファイトマネー). Deep-night allowance applicable if late shifts arise (22:00-05:00). Experience and qualifications considered in rate setting.
