Job Description:

This is a supermarket deli cooking assistant role in Nagata ward, Kobe, just 3 minutes walk from Shin-Nagata Station. Tasks include assisting with prepared food (お惣菜 osouzai) cooking, packing items into trays, and stocking shelves — all straightforward back-of-house work with no customer-facing duties required. Two shift options run 07:30-16:30 or 08:00-17:00, each with 8 hours of actual work and a 1-hour break, finishing by 17:00 at the latest so your evenings remain completely free. Overtime is minimal; the schedule runs 4-5 days per week including weekends, with 2-3 days off per week. People in their 50s are actively working in this role, and career changers and those returning after a break are particularly welcome. Those available on Wednesdays and Saturdays are especially sought after.
