Job Description:
Work as hall or kitchen staff at Ootoya Viva Mall Saitama Shintoshin-ten, a Japanese home-cooking restaurant on the 3rd floor of Viva Mall in Urawa, Saitama, known for dishes made with care such as batter-coated fried food and charcoal-grilled fish. Hall staff guide guests to their seats, take orders, serve food, and handle payment; kitchen staff handle ingredient prep, plating, and dishwashing, learning from basics including knife skills and use of cooking equipment. Shifts run from 11:00 in two blocks through to 23:00, with an optional night shift from 22:00 available for those who want to earn more. A late-night allowance (shinya-teate) of 25% applies from 22:00, raising wages to 1,500 yen/hour, and an advance pay system lets you receive earned wages before payday (conditions apply). Staff meals are available at half price or less (up to 500 yen for items priced up to 1,500 yen), and foreign nationals and international students are actively welcomed.
