Join the team at Sugidama (杉玉), a popular casual sushi and izakaya restaurant near Gakuenmae Station in Nara. The bright, stylish interior features wooden decor and masu-style seating in a lively atmosphere. Hall staff handle customer seating, food service (配膳 haizen), and cashier duties, while kitchen staff assist with washing (洗い場 araiba), plating, and cooking support. Shifts run from 09:30 to 23:30 under a flexible shift system (シフト制 shifuto-sei) -- you submit your availability weekly so it is easy to fit around school or family schedules. A daily meal subsidy (食事補助 shokuji-hosho) lets you enjoy a seafood or tempura rice bowl for just 300 yen per shift. Advance payment (前払い maebarai) is available under company rules. Late-night shifts after 22:00 attract a higher rate of 1,375 yen per hour (deep-night allowance, 深夜手当 shinya-teate). High school students and those under 18 may work until 22:00 only as required by Japanese labour law.
