Job Description:
This is an early-morning kitchen assistance role at Kyoryori Hamatoku, a kaiseki-style Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor of Hearton Hotel Kyoto in Nakagyo-ku, a 2-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Station. The breakfast shift runs from 06:00 to 10:30, covering morning food preparation, plating of course-style breakfast dishes, and dishwashing — all in a calm, unhurried environment as the menu is course-based with no à la carte rush. Simple preparation tasks are assigned first and skills are built gradually with patient support from the team. No cooking experience is needed. Cash-in-hand payment (手渡し tewatashi) is available. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided. Foreign applicants must hold JLPT N1 or above as Japanese-language customer interaction is part of the role. Hair colour and nail polish are permitted within reasonable limits. No resume required for interview.
Wage:
1,200円 (per hour) Rate may increase to 1,600円 based on cooking experience and contribution; salary increases available (昇給 shokyu); ability pay for those with cooking or kitchen experience
