Job Description:

This is a kitchen staff role at やよい軒 (Yayoiken) Kawaguchi, a popular Japanese teishoku (定食 teishoku, set meal) chain restaurant 4 minutes walk from Kawaguchi Station, operated by Plenus Co., Ltd. Kitchen duties cover the full range of back-of-house preparation: vegetable cutting, ingredient prep, stir-frying, grilling, frying, plating, serving readiness, dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and stock management — all tasks are guided by detailed manuals and minimal knife work is required, making the role accessible to those with no prior cooking experience. Two shift patterns are available: daytime 08:00-17:00 and evening/overnight 17:00-01:30 (overnight); a minimum of 3 hours per shift is accepted from 2 days per week, with weekend and holiday availability expected for both slots. A late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 1,563円 per hour applies for hours worked between 22:00 and 05:00 on the evening shift; a 14-day trial period at the same base rate applies on joining. A staff meal programme allows all menu items (with minor exceptions) to be eaten for 400円 per meal — a significant saving given the quality of the teishoku menu.
