Job Description:

This is a kitchen cooking role at Kyoto Gion Kayanoha, a Japanese restaurant serving udon, hot pot and other dishes, five minutes walk from Gion-Shijo Station in Kyoto. Work is kitchen-only with no customer service, floor or register duties — duties include cutting meat and vegetables, frying with a deep-fryer, plating and finishing dishes. Some prior food service experience is preferred, though it does not need to be Japanese cuisine — cafe, fast food or any restaurant background is welcome. Shifts run within the 11:00-22:00 window for 5 to 8 hours of actual working time per shift, with a break of 1 hour 10 minutes for shifts of 6 hours or more. Note: this role qualifies as 日雇い派遣 (daily dispatch) — applicants must meet at least one of the following: household or personal income of 5 million yen or more; currently enrolled as a daytime student; aged 60 or over. Daily payment (日払い hibarai) is available.

Wage:
