Job Description:
Hall and kitchen work at Ramen Zundouya in Kabukicho, a Himeji-born specialist in rich back-fat tonkotsu ramen. Hall duties are showing customers to their seats and serving dishes, while kitchen duties cover simple cooking, plating and washing up. Preparation work involves cutting chashu and toppings and warming the soup pot, and you never have to lift the heavy stock pots. Staff who started with no experience are working here now, and the open layout of the restaurant makes it easy to call a colleague when you need help. The restaurant is open 24 hours and shifts are negotiable, with lunch-only or dinner-only patterns and days of four hours or fewer accepted. Weekend-only and weekday-only patterns both work, and staff take at least two days off a week. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are half price across the whole menu, and there is a 25 percent discount at Toridoll group restaurants usable with family and friends. Transport allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) is paid up to 30,000 yen a month, a uniform (制服 seifuku) is loaned and hair style, hair colour and piercings are free.
