Job Description:
Shift coordination and warehouse work at a logistics centre in Hachioji handling apparel. About half the role is desk work: taking roll call for the staff on site, checking that everyone in each team of around ten has arrived, and building the following month's shift roster. The rest of the time you join the floor work, mainly apparel picking, returns processing and packing. Training covers business manners and how the work flows, followed by OJT alongside a senior colleague, with independence expected somewhere between two and six months. Hours are 09:00 to 18:00 with eight hours of actual work and a 60 minute break, on a shift system. The centre is fully air conditioned with good facilities, including a break room and clean washrooms. Staff aged from their teens to their sixties work here, with those in their twenties to forties at the core. Pay rises come twice a year and full social insurance is provided on a contract employee basis.
