Job Description:
Work as hall or kitchen staff at an izakaya in central Sendai, with the role decided based on your preference and aptitude. Hall staff seat guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, make drinks and handle the register. Kitchen staff assist senior cooks, prepare ingredients, plate dishes and handle washing up using a dishwasher. Everything is taught from the basics, so first-time izakaya workers are welcome, and senior staff support you while you learn. Free staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided, and there is a late-night transport home service for staff finishing after midnight. Pay is normally on the 20th of each month, but an advance payment system (前払い maebarai) lets you receive the previous month's earnings at the start of the month. Shifts are submitted every two weeks on a request basis, from 3 hours a day and 1 day a week, and weekend-only shifts are possible. Nail polish and piercings are allowed, and applicants must be 20 or over because of the passive smoking rules at this venue.
Wage:
1,100円~1,200円 (per hour)
Hall staff 1,150円~1,200円 and kitchen staff 1,100円~1,200円. Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) paid for hours after 22:00. Freeters start from 1,200円. One-month training period (研修 kenshuu) at the same conditions. Monthly opportunity for a pay rise. Staff discount available. Advance payment system available.
