Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Uotami Kesennuma, a lively izakaya chain restaurant on the ground floor of Yokotaya Honten Building in Kesennuma City, Miyagi. Hall staff guide guests to their seats, deliver food and drinks, handle payments, and prepare simple drinks including draft beer. Customers order via tablet or QR self-order system, so verbal order-taking is minimal. Kitchen staff start with dishwashing and simple plating, then progress to basic preparation and cooking assistance — knife skills are taught from scratch. The shift runs 16:00 to 02:00 (overnight), so late-night hours are a regular part of this role. A late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) applies from 22:00 onward. Advance payment (前払い maebarai) is available and wages are calculated to the minute. Staff meals are available at 50% off the menu price (まかない makanai). High school students are not eligible due to overnight shifts. Hair colour and nail polish are permitted; one small earring per ear is allowed for hall staff only. Work in the smoking room is limited to applicants aged 20 and over (Japanese labour law).
