Job Description:

This is a cooking assistant (調理補助 chouri-hojo) role at a company cafeteria (社員食堂 shain-shokudo) operated by EVERYFOOD at the TEPCO Gunma General Branch in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture. Working under the direction of a qualified chef or nutritionist, tasks include vegetable prep and cutting, simple cooking, plating meals, serving food to cafeteria users, and dishwashing using an industrial dishwasher and dryer. No prior experience in catering or cooking assistance is required; senior staff will train you thoroughly from day one. Core hours are 09:00-15:00 with occasional shifts of 08:30-15:00 or 09:00-15:30 depending on the schedule; all shifts are daytime only, finishing by mid-afternoon. The schedule is weekdays only with Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays off, plus long holidays during GW and year-end. This makes it well suited for those balancing family commitments or working within a dependent spouse allowance (扶養内 fuyou-nai). Meal assistance (食事補助 shokuji-hojo) is available depending on shift and location. Transport allowance provided per company rules.

Wage:
