Job Description:
This is a hall staff role at Nihonkai Shoya, a relaxed izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) known for fresh seafood and Japanese cuisine, located one minute from Isesaki Station. The atmosphere is calm rather than loud, with a menu centred on seasonal sashimi and Japanese small plates. Duties cover all front-of-house work — seating guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and general floor upkeep. No experience is needed; senior staff will provide thorough training (研修 kenshuu) and support at your own pace. Shifts on weekdays include a lunch slot (11:30-14:00) and an evening slot (17:00-23:00); weekend and holiday shifts run evenings only (17:00-23:00). A late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) applies from 22:00, raising the rate to 1,329 yen per hour. Late-night shifts (22:00 onward) are for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law). Staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided: up to 1 meal for shifts of 4 hours or more, up to 2 meals for shifts of 8 hours or more.
